Silk
started out as a videogame design (a sort of crude anticipation of
bloody roar in which people could transform themselves into animals)
and it got converted into comic book form sometime when I was in
grade 8.
The
story was completely incoherent, and defies brief summary, but it
revolved around three girls who had been "reborn" as these
oddly macabre feline superheroes.
Silk

Silk
was, of course, the main character. Like most of my creations she
had more names than I could keep track of, even at the time. "Silk"
was the most commonly used. Her full name was "Silk
Branford" but the villain always addressed her as
"Silikara". The first image is circa 1994.
Massacre

Massacre
was sort of my character. She started out as enormous and barbaric-looking
(what I wanted to be at the time) and at a certain point abruptly
evolved into something much more svelte and sexually intimidating.
Satan's
Child
1 2
Satan's
Child wasn't one of the original videogame cast, but was added after
I started making the comics. She was supposed to be a kind of
reticently psychotic genius.
Lunar

Lunar,
or Nathan, was the boyfriend. His prime function in the comics was
to look and act fierce, but he also periodically drove Silk around in
his zippy little convertible.
Cental

Cental
was the villain, and although I never really established why
she so rigorously disliked Silk, she could rip people apart just by
looking at them and that seemed sufficient justification for her role.
